The concert is FREE, but we suggest a $5 donation - a donation that will go straight to the RED CROSS in New Orleans.
Plus, if you donate more than $10, you'll get a wonderful collection of New Orleans Mardi Gras Beads! From Lelia Gowland, President of the University Democrats: Having just returned from New Orleans, the Red Cross was the force I saw most present and helpful. They have given my family, having lost our house, Wal-Mart gift cards and provided us with hot meals and bottled water. In putting together this concert, we (the Democrats, SGA, SUAAB, and Radio UTD) want to support this amazing organization. The Benjy Davis Project plays southern-influenced rock. They are extremely popular in Louisiana and all of the gulf coast. They have played with Better Than Ezra,Cowboy Mouth, John Mayer, Ryan Cabrera, and Sister Hazel. They are also very attractive gentlemen. :) Be sure to stick around after the concert for Radio UTD's Fall Concert featuring Bosque Brown, Shiny Around the Edges, The Alexander, and land&station - it should be a great night. |
